What gets him?
More accurately, what is it about Meatbrain's posts that gets him no comments? The three most recent posts of his that so far have none (all links open in new windows):
"The Palin pregnancy kerfuffle." Subject matter = Palin. A rare instance of no conservative blogger being targeted. Interesting. Language = no name-calling, no other vulgarity. Very interesting!
"Can't get anything past Cao." Major characteristics: Subject matter = Caoilfhionn (that's "key-lin," not "cow-lifflin"). Not unique. Language = name-calling (one instance, four adjectives); NO other vulgarity (quite rare!). The lack of swear words distinguishes this post. Let's see what else...
"Big Dog lies to his readers again." Major characteristics: Subject matter = Big Dog. Definitely not unique. Language = name-calling (two instances, the second "Dogs***"); no other vulgarity, unless you count the coinage.
"No end to Raven's ignorance." Major characteristics: Subject matter = Raven (another conservative blogger, many of whom populate the targets of Meatbrain's other posts). Language = name-calling (four instances, counting the "wingnut" lobbed at the end); vulgarity: nothing! We may be on to something!
The moral? The mean, clean Meaty gets no response. When he adds such colorful items as "f***ing" or even "bulls*** ", comments spring up like grass...moderated grass. Yes, he'll likely blast me for not considering ALL the evidence...but, as they say, if one waited until we understood and documented EVERY electron in the universe before drawing conclusions about quantum physics, we would still be, shall we say, living in the dark ages.
Comment war? Bring it on!
